This AISL Academy Pathway has been carefully designed to equip teachers and leaders in AISL Harrow LiDe schools with the knowledge, skills, and professional understanding needed to deliver exceptional teaching and leadership within our unique educational model.
Grounded in AISL Harrow’s mission and values, the pathway helps you translate our shared educational philosophy into daily practice, ensuring that every decision, lesson, and interaction contributes to developing young people of character, competence, and compassion.
Through this structured professional learning journey, you will deepen your understanding of core AISL Harrow policies, strengthen your pedagogical expertise, and enhance your capacity to lead meaningful learning and wellbeing outcomes for all pupils.
It contains three components:
1. Bringing Policies to Life
The product of an AISL Harrow education is a young adult with the values, character, skills, and knowledge to thrive beyond school. Achieving this outcome relies on two fundamental dimensions: 1) education and 2) student development and wellbeing.
AISL defines the conditions for securing educational excellence and promoting pupil wellbeing in the following two policy documents:
- Statement on Securing Educational Excellence
- Statement on Enhancing Levels of Student Wellbeing
The two courses in this part of the LiDe pathway aim to help you build an in-depth understanding of these two policy documents.
